The Phillip Schofield Song – Vikki Stone

“I wrote the song for my 2011 Edinburgh show ‘Big Neon Letters’ – a show about my life so far,” explains Stone. “Phillip Schofield has been a life-long crush for me, since the Going Live days through ‘Joseph’ and now This MorningDancing On Ice and The Cube. And so it was obvious to me that he should feature in the show.”

It was a review of that show in The Scotsman that brought Stone’s song to Schofield’s attention. “I was over the moon when he tweeted the link to review saying ‘I’m liking Vikki Stone’,” says Stone. “Not that I’ve memorised all his tweets to me (OK, I have, but you would, wouldn’t you?). The show that evening was full to bursting with Schofield fans. It was amazing!”

Stone wanted Schofield’s blessing when it came to making the song’s video (which was produced by the new comedy arm of Finite Films, Finite Funnies). “And we thought we’d just ask if he wanted to be in it,” Stone says. “Next thing we know, we’re delivering ‘Vikki Loves Phil’ pants to the ITV studios…” – and the result? Well, you’re just going to have to watch the video below right through to the end.

When the video went live on YouTube, Schofield tweeted a link out to it, saying: “Now I’ve seen everything! Vikki Stone you are bonkers and I’m very flattered, thank you xxx”. As a result of his tweet (along with Ant and Dec’s) the song has already had nearly 10,000 views in its first 24 hours.
