Sally Phillips to star in new Sky1 Sitcom “Parents”

Finite fave Sally Phillips is set to star in a new Sky Sitcom “Parents” written by Loyd Woolf and Joe Tucker.

The series, which starts filming on 30 January ahead of a March launch, follows the tribulations of a middle-aged couple who lose their jobs and have to sell their home and take their teenage children to live with their parents.

Sky head of comedy Lucy Lumsden said: “We’ve been on the hunt for smart comedies about family life for Sky1 and feel we have found it with Parents. We’re very excited about the cast we’ve managed to attract and can’t wait to start production.”

Alongside Phillips, the cast includes Darren Strange (Armando Ianucci Shows) , Susie Blake (Coronation Street)  and Tom Conti (Miranda).

Love Sally Phillips. Pity she’s on Murdoch’s payroll. Won’t be supporting that one. Sorry, Sal.
